Community outreach has been a hallmark of Davidson’s career. Whether teaching inner-city at-risk children how to compose, working with homeless women at a YWCA shelter to write operas of their lives, or creating music specifically to include children performing with professionals, Davidson brings a deep personal commitment to the love of craft and the joy of sharing.

Most recently, Hilary Hahn released a second recording of the work she commissioned from Davidson, Blue Curve of the Earth, on her new album Retrospective (Deutsche Grammophon).
